To Mark, A Friend We All Could Be So Fortunate To Have
On Tuesday night we lost a great friend. Not only a friend of mine, but a friend of many. I don’t think I ever met a man that never had anything bad to say about anyone.
I think anyone who knew Mark, could testify to that fact without hesitation.
Mark was the kind of guy that lived for spending time with his friends and would give the shirt off his back to any one of them if needed.
He will truly be missed. His time here was short by comparison to many, but the effect he had on all those that knew him will be timeless.
A site to pay tribute to this wonderful friend and to celebrate his life of many great memories has been created at: http://mark.1lil.com

Jon – I have written a few tribute posts in my day. I never know if anyone reads them, or cares – but I clicked through to the tribute site and saw Mark’s smile – and knew I would have liked knowing him. I was even somewhat jealous of those of you that did. He looks like a guy that lived life, and loved life. I try to surround myself with people like that.
It is hard to say goodbye. You did an admirable job of it. I hope Mark’s family takes solace in the fact he had friends, and that he made a difference in people’s lives.

Thanks Rob. Just for the record, I always read them when you post tributes. I consider you a good judge of character so if someone has made it into your radar enough to be talked about on your site, they must have been a very honorable person.
And yes, Mark had a very contagious smile which will be greatly missed by many. In fact after the accident, many referred to him as the “glue” in our circle of friends that held everyone together and organized “happy hour events” to help relieve the stress of a long work week.
Thanks once again Rob for your words.
