Dell at Staples
Rumor is that Dell will soon be selling their computers at Staples.
Interesting….
I don’t understand voice mail anymore.
There was a time when I thought it had purpose but not anymore. Not with caller id.
What I find interesting is most younger people do not even leave voice mail for the simple reason that it takes too long. To leave and receive.
Text messaging has taken over voice mail in my life almost 100%.
I think my new years resolution this year will be to completely abandon voice mail. Either send me a text or email. I can process both 100 times quicker than a voice mail.
No real point here other than the obvious…
I am working on a project that require a way to schedule the posting of new items to WordPress via the command line (linux) or some other automated way. I have tried the blog via email option in wordpress but it never fins any new email when I ping wp-mail.php…
Anybody out there got any example scripts to do such a thing?
What a week. I’m not sure where it went but it’s almost over…
At any rate we have darts in Moffit tonight. I don’t think we are going to have as strong a team as last year (league champs), but it’s also only the second week…
After having dug to a depth of 10 meters last year, Scottish scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 100 years and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 100 years ago
Not to be outdone by the Scots, in the weeks that followed, British scientists dug to a depth of 20 meters, and shortly after, headlines in the UK newspapers read:
“British archaeologists have found traces of 200 year old copperwire and have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network a hundred years earlier than the Scots.”
One week later, “The Nordic Klub”, a Minot, North Dakota newsletter reported the following:
“After digging as deep as 30 meters in corn fields near Velva, Ole Johnson, a self taught archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely nothing. Ole has therefore concluded that 300 years ago North Dakota had already gone wireless.”
Saturday night we watched a couple of movies instead of going out (plus we had a pile of laundry to do).
The first we watched was The Hills Have Eyes 2. Good movie if you like that conspiracy kind of stuff. You definitely need to see the first one first though…
The second was 300. I thought this was the better movie from a “depth” perspective and had more to offer the brain, but it also resulted in less gruesome scenes to describe to others…
I give each 4 out of 5 stars.

I almost spit out my soda when I read this:
The only thing that would have made this better is if it was proven as true!
Need I say more?
see TechCrunch for the article on the service
Watched the movie Scent of a Woman last night. Old movie, but I had never seen it.
Great performance by Al Pacino. I highly recommend watching it if you haven’t yet.
4 out of 5 stars.
